My initiation to teaching was an evening Introduction to Physical Geology course at Bristol Community College, which I enjoyed because of my interest in the environment and earth sciences. In the 10 years since, I’ve continued to teach part time at Suffolk University and UMass Dartmouth, focusing on courses related to my field of practice: communications, journalism, public relations, and writing.
After many years teaching in addition to my various full-time jobs as a writer, editor, publications manager, communications director, and marketing manager, I wanted to make a switch. I began teaching full time in the fall of 2016. My first full-time opportunity was at Bridgewater State University, teaching traditional in-person and online courses as an instructor in the Communications Studies Department.
