served as editor for two issues of biannual alumni magazine
In January, 2011, I became the third editor in three years to produce the College of Arts and Sciences magazine at the University of Miami. This biannual alumni magazine serves as a development and outreach tool, has a circulation of 30,000 and is distributed to alumni, donors and the UM community.
The pages of this issue, “Expanding Knowledge of Latin America,” illustrate how the ties between Latin America and the University of Miami’s College of Arts and Sciences are strong. From its home at the “gateway to Latin America” to the far reaches of the southern hemisphere, UM scholars are exchanging ideas about science, politics, social science, and culture that enrich their lives, their classrooms, and the greater community.
