tools to get the word out: Suffolk Arts+Sciences magazine
In order to reach our readers and find new ones, I developed a marketing platform that began with creating a web presence and dedicated web pages for each issue of the magazine on the University’s web site.
After researching digital edition technology and providers, I had the magazines converted to digital editions that reflect the printed book, but that take advantage of embedding audio and video elements. I found a second digital edition version that serves an important function for the magazine’s facebook fan page, one of my more recent projects.
To offer an online version of the magazine in an interactive blog format, I used a WordPress template to create the magazine blog (image left). This provides a home for videos, our flickr gallery, and all the editorial content, which can be modified and updated and commented on by readers.
